Darrell Whipple - Atlanta Office
I’m originally from the southeast. I say this because I’m a military brat. My family did tours in Florida, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. We had the privilege of meeting many different people and being a part of many different churches as we moved from place to place. I think that has helped me have a “larger view of the Church” since I have been a member of so many through the years.
We were living in Pensacola, Florida when I graduated from high school. I ended up staying there and getting my BA in psychology from the University of West Florida. I was a double major in psychology and music, but finished in psychology. The University did not have a minor for all my music, so I just have ALOT of music credit out there.
My ministry experience has been much like my childhood. I have been a Worship Pastor in Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, Georgia and Texas. I started serving my first church at 16 years old. Since that time, I have had the privilege of serving on staff in churches full-time for 10 years and many more years of service on a part-time or interim basis. It has been exciting seeing ministry change over the last few decades. Now, I have the opportunity to help other guys and ladies find their place in service for the kingdom through The Shepherd’s Staf. I find it very exciting to be part of the process of “finding each other”. It is hard to believe that my job is networking with ministers and churches to help them connect. WOW, it is so much fun!
I’m still involved in the local church, serving as interim worship pastor in the North Atlanta area. When not serving on staff, I enjoy worshipping with my family at our home church in Cartersville, GA.
I have been married to the beautiful Dr. Shelly M. Whipple for 17 years. Shelly is a chiropractor in our town. We have two incredible kids, our daughter Mikhayla is 13 and our son McKenna is 11. They are involved in athletics and music at their schools. We love trying to keep up with them. It is truly a blessing from God to have them in our lives. What a gift!!!
During my spare time (can a person still have some of that?), I enjoy spending time on the lake with my family. We enjoy boating, skiing and riding our wave runners. God knew what He was doing when He created lakes surrounded by mountains! What a breath-taking view! I’m also an “amusement park junkie”! Give me a rollercoaster and we will have some serious FUN!!! I am so blessed to enjoy the life, family and job God has given me. Life is good when you are serving others.
I look forward to serving you and helping you connect with the right minister or church through The Shepherd’s Staf. Together, we can equip the church to further His Kingdom!!
